  Sound Infusion Therapy

Sound Therapy has been around for as long as man could make noise. Our bodies are incredibly sensitive to sound, and although we all realize this fact, we rarely think about it. We rarely consider the implications that this can have. For example, think of the last time you heard a bone chilling primitive scream, or the spine tingling screech of fingernails over a chalkboard.

The therapeutic effects of sound and music are natural and an innate part of our being. From a mothers first song to her unborn baby to the therapeutic effects of a good cry, sound affects our physical and psychological state.

It is quite probable that Sound Therapy also stimulates the brain to begin producing some of the neurotransmitters that create positive emotional states. It is common for Sound Therapy listeners to report greater states of wellbeing, happiness, and an end to depressed feelings. Using the media of sound (music, tones, vibrations, etc.) as a tool for healing, Sound Therapy enables the realignment of natural body rhythms. Therapy may include, but is not limited to, the use of singing, bowls, chimes, tuning forks, and drums. I utilize the sound of drums/music more than any of these other techniques, it can have an amazing effect on decreasing the symptoms of depression and fatigue.

I do not provide full sessions of Sound Therapy, however it can be incorporated into an Intuitive Bodywork session as part of your treatment.
